Cookies — just two.

We use only what the site needs to work. No advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no tracking pixels.

Draft — pending review by Maltese legal counsel before launch. This text explains how we intend to work. It may change before aid.mt starts operating.

Cookies we set

  • AIDSESS — keeps you signed in and protects forms against forgery. Essential. It is deleted when you close your browser.
  • aid_lang — remembers whether you chose English or Maltese. Set only when you pick a language, and kept for one year.

Both cookies are first-party, sent only over secure connections and not readable by scripts on the page.

Requests to other services

Some parts of a page load from other services. They don’t set cookies through our site, but they do receive your IP address and basic browser details:

  • Google Fonts — our fonts load from Google’s servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) when a page opens.
  • OpenStreetMap — when a map is shown during an alert, map images may be requested from OpenStreetMap’s tile servers, which then see the area being viewed.

Your choices

Because we use only essential cookies, we don’t show a cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but signing in won’t work without AIDSESS.

Changes

If we ever want to add non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.

Be ready before you need it.
