About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the aid.mt website, app preview and responder application, provided by Aftermath Ltd (C110654), 34 Mosta Road, St Paul’s Bay, Malta. They are a draft for the preview stage.

aid.mt is not an emergency service

aid.mt is not an emergency service, is not affiliated with 112 and does not dispatch ambulances, police or the fire service. In an emergency, always call 112.

During the preview, aid.mt does not dispatch any responder and contact alerts are simulated.

No guarantee

We do not guarantee that a responder will be available, accept a request or arrive within any time, or that alerts, messages or locations will be delivered or accurate. The service depends on phones, networks and third parties outside our control.

Your account

  • Give accurate details and keep your contacts and medical profile up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us if your account is misused.
  • Only add trusted contacts who have agreed to be contacted.
  • Accounts are meant for adults. A child or dependant is added and managed by a parent or legal guardian.

Acceptable use

  • Do not raise false alerts on purpose.
  • Do not use aid.mt to harass, track or monitor anyone.
  • Do not try to break, overload or copy the service.
  • Do not pretend to be someone else, or to hold a qualification you don’t have.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, especially where other people are put at risk.

Responders

Responders agree to separate responder terms before they can be verified. Being verified does not entitle anyone to receive requests. Responders act within their own qualifications and professional duties and are not part of the public emergency services.

Plans and payment

Call 112 and the basic safety features are free. No payment is taken before launch. Terms for paid plans — prices, VAT, renewals, cancellation and refunds — will be published before payments open. Your rights under Maltese and EU consumer law are not affected.

Medical information

aid.mt does not give medical advice, diagnose or triage. Anything in the app is general information and not a substitute for professional care.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. The rest of our liability terms will be finalised after legal review.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms and will tell you about important changes. You can close your account at any time.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Maltese law. If something goes wrong, please use our complaints process first. You can also bring a claim before the courts of Malta, and consumers keep any rights they have under EU law.

Be ready before you need it.

Set up your trusted contacts and emergency profile in the app preview. In an emergency, call 112 first.
